Optional analytics

Checking this browser’s preference…

You’re welcome to enjoy the stories, shop, and Arcade either way. Optional analytics helps us understand which pages, videos, and games get used. You can change your mind whenever you like.

Your beta account

Invited grown-ups sign in with an approved email address. The site owner can see which beta accounts are approved and their first recorded and latest successful sign-in. These account records stay separate from optional page, video, and game analytics. They do not show which activities belong to you.

Login sessions expire after 30 days. The first and latest sign-in dates stay with the invitation record until that account record is deleted, so an expiring login does not make an activated account appear new. For help with your account or removal, please use our contact page.

What happens when you opt in

We send a small, fixed catalogue of events to our first-party analytics endpoint: things like a page view, a video starting or completing, a shop view, or an arcade game milestone. Content values are limited to known page names and watch slugs. We do not send raw paths, query strings, hashes, sign-in URLs, emails, referrers, product titles or free text.

An ephemeral browser session UUID groups events during a session. It is stored in sessionStorage, is cleared when you withdraw consent, and is not an account identifier. Raw events are scheduled for deletion hourly after 30 days; reports are available for 7 or 30 days. Short-lived abuse counters may use hashes for up to 2 days. Hosting logs are controlled by the hosting provider, and this page does not make claims about those logs or IP processing.

Controls and signals

Declining or withdrawing consent stops new events and clears the ephemeral session UUID. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track are honored as opt-outs. You can revisit this page any time to change your choice. No Google Analytics, advertising pixels, cross-site tracking or session replay is used.
